PRELIMINARY VIDEO AND ANALYSIS

To begin the AS Media coursework on VIDEO, I contributed to the production of a Conversation sequence. This is the Preliminary to the Final Video we will make and it's primary purpose is to demonstrate an understanding of the 180 degree rule with shot reverse shots and matching on action. I was behind the camera and did not take part in the acting for this sequence.

There are somne problems with this clip which caught my attention; I think it should have had more dialogue, to demonstrate the 180 degree rule further. I also believe there is a moment where the girl who is leaning on the wall (Chartlotte) turns to pick up the bag, and a medium shot of her is missing.

I'm happy with the sound bridge (of the door) over the cut as the girl enters the room. I also think the 180 degree rule worked well and the cutting on action as the bag was thrown to the ground.
